Renovated a dilapidated 1924 hotel which had been used as a flop house for nearly 35 years. Completed a 32-room boutique hotel project that, along with the adjacent Schooner 12th Street Bistro and Liberty Theater

, helped propel Astoria’s “renaissance” in the 2003-2005 timeframe as an emerging cultural and culinary hub for the region. The Elliott has been widely photographed and been the subject of myriad news and magazine articles including prominent stories in the New York Times, Conde Naste’ Traveler and Sunset magazine. Presented with the Dr. Edward Harvey award in 2004 for the best historic restoration in the county as well as the State of Oregon’s “Stepping Up to the Plate Award” in 2004, given to the project that had the greatest impact on its’ community’s downtown economic development.
