Led complex financing effort to raise $23MM+ for the renovation and re-development of an iconic 1924 85-room hotel in downtown Aberdeen, Washington. Developed and delivered an investment-grade proposal involving the use of Historic Tax Credits (HTC’s), New Market Tax Credits (NMTC’s), a $9.0MM federally guaranteed loan and a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Secured the services of a Best-of-Class finance consultant, architect, general contractor and hospitality management company to measurably improve the opportunity for success. Successfully placed the hotel on the National Register of Historic Places (May 2016).
